Internationally acclaimed performance artist and burlesque icon Darlinda Just Darlinda presents her explosive, genre-defying solo show A DIPLOMAT OF THE OUTRAGEOUS, bringing radical vulnerability, glitter-soaked spectacle, and boundary-pushing storytelling to stages across the globe.

Part memoir, part manifesto, A DIPLOMAT OF THE OUTRAGEOUS follows Darlinda’s evolution as she leaves her rural, hippie-hideaway hometown of Mendocino, California to carve out a life in New York City—and ultimately makes the life-altering decision to leave it all behind and immigrate to Europe. Through this journey, she asks the essential question: Can a life be lived well without making art?

Honoring her burlesque roots with signature reverse-strip acts, Darlinda weaves together dance, comedy, a wildly irreverent game show (“Name That Lay!”), extravagant costumes, and—yes—nudity.
